Commitment to Safety

At Alliance, safety is not just a box we check prior to implementing a field project, it’s an integral part of our culture and foundation for our business. We realize that in order to protect our team and clients from injury or other loss, safety and security must be a core value.

We provide all new employees with the necessary training they will require to service our customers. With the exception of administrative staff, all new professionals obtain the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) 40 hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training. Alliance project managers and senior staff continually mentor and act as trusted advisors to help our less-seasoned professionals flourish and become successful. Alliance’s senior managers in geology, engineering, and environmental science are directly responsible for maintaining and improving the technical training program for the specific disciplines in addition to regular health and safety. By utilizing regular meetings/training programs, individualized continuing education programs, and project work peer review, our senior managers ensure that our technical staff maintains and continues to improve their professional skills. Our Health and Safety Officers, Ms. Julie Ann Turner and Mr. Andrew Applebaum, organize regular training sessions with Alliance staff ranging from CPR courses to defensive driving, to Health and Safety refresher courses.

Alliance is fully dedicated to providing a safe and secure work environment for our staff, customers, and partnering subcontractors. Alliance maintains our certifications and training requirements with ISNetworld, PICs, and NCCER.
